Hello

My name is Zoravar Singh Kalkat. I am a medical doctor, aspiring traumatologist, and programmer from Stockholm, Sweden.

I work across clinical medicine, research, and engineering. I’m particularly interested in trauma surgery, bone infections, and the practical challenges of managing complex cases.

My clinical practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine and I’m interested in integrating bedside diagnostic tools such as POCUS into my future training to improve decision-making and reduce time to intervention.

Alongside this, my research work has pushed me toward programming. Good tooling can fundamentally change how large datasets are handled and understood, so I’ve been building a stronger foundation in software development to support my future work.

Clinical & Research Work

I have been working in trauma and orthopaedics in Riga, gaining hands-on experience in surgical preparation, assisting in procedures, and post-operative care.

My exposure includes fracture management, infection-related revision surgery, combat-trauma, and reconstructive techniques. Alongside clinical work, I contribute to research in bone infections and metabolomics in collaboration with international institutions.

Programming

I build tools primarily in Rust, focusing on systems-level problems with an emphasis on security and reliability.
